FREMONT, CA: The Greater Toronto Area and Central Ontorio based PowerStream and Collus PowerStream, community-owned energy companies have recently selected on Opower to deliver the first behavioral energy efficiency program under the Minister of Energy’s Conservation First Framework. Opower will now collaborate with PowerStream and Collus PowerStream in bringing the customer satisfaction through personalized, timely, and proactive updates and messages in order to save the customers from energy and money on their monthly bills.

Speaking about the novel initiative, Maurizio Bevilacqua, PowerStream Board Chair and Mayor of the City of Vaughan says, “These new tools that empower our customers to save money and energy demonstrates PowerStream and Collus PowerStream’s commitment to provide a high quality service experience, and the program will also help in leading the way towards supporting new conservative First Framework.”

Behavioral energy efficiency takes into account human psychology to encourage energy savings. Opower to its credit holds credence in processing mammoth of data on household energy in comparison to other companies. This will provide an opportunity to the PowerStream customers to obtain accurate energy insights available to the utility industry.
